Book Love: Annotated Jane Austen Series Too

Books & Mags, Geek out!

Ask and you shall receive: new to my bookshelf is the annotated Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen from the Belknap Press of Harvard UP.

Jane Austen Annotated Northanger Abbey

I just love this annotated series! In fact, I just finished re-reading Emma; now I’m in the middle of N.A. The only one missing from my collection is the Mansfield Park edition, forthcoming in the fall 2015. (Fansquee!)

Note: I wasn’t paid or perked to mention this; just passing along a good thing.

  1. These are truly beautiful books. I like David Shapard’s annotated paperback series, too, but these have the added bonus of being drop dead gorgeous books. How lucky we are to have both available to us. Alas, the release of Mansfield Park has been delayed until Fall 2016. I am eagerly awaiting it. After Persuasion, it is my favorite of Jane Austen’s novels.

    1. Agreed – the series is physically very beautiful. Even the endpapers are gorgeous! Thanks for the heads-up on Mansfield Park; I hadn’t caught that piece of news yet. The delay is a little disheartening, but at least we’ll have something to look forward to on next year’s publication schedule already.
